PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shawn Davison told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva swinging wildly here.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Davison closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Davison tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.

Davison fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Davison persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Davison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davison off to one side.

Silva manages to work his way to half guard, despite Davison's best efforts.

Silva drops Davison with a right and a left! Silva comes rushing in but Davison regains his composure and manages to keep Silva in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davison can do anything to dispel that myth.
