Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Tiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiera comes to the cage accompanied by Judas Priest - Turbo Lover. Frank Tiera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tiera sprawls well. Tiera wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chase gets slowly back to his feet.
Tiera throws a right and a left that Chase avoids nicely.
Tiera throws the left hand but Chase avoids the punch easily.

Chase gets a takedown into half guard.

Chase is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Chase is working for a kimura but Tiera is defending it quite comfortably.

Tiera on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tiera tries to get out of the position.
Tiera is trying to control Chase's posture but Chase avoids it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tiera is looking to reverse the position.

Chase is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tiera is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Chase throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tiera was covering up waiting for the punch and Chase finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Chase thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chase looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tiera is fending him off so far but Chase persists. Nope, Tiera circles away and we're back to standing.
Tiera throws a shot from downtown. Chase moves away and avoids it.
Frank Tiera is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chase throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tiera's waist but Tiera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chase off to one side.
Tiera throws a body punch but Chase moves out of range.
Chase shoots for a double leg takedown but Tiera sprawls well. He's pushed Chase's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Frank Tiera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Chase.
Chase throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tiera's waist but Tiera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chase off to one side.
Tiera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tiera connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chase's hands.
Chase will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tiera throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mark Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tiera tries to avoid it but Chase manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tiera to the ground. Tiera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tiera slaps away a takedown attempt from Chase, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tiera misses with a double jab.
Chase is breathing heavily.

Chase shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tiera pinned against the cage. Tiera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tiera lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Tiera swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chase fails with the takedown.
Tiera fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chase looks for a takedown but Tiera sprawls well.
A slow jab from Tiera misses its intended target.
Chase avoids the body shot from Tiera.

Tiera closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Chase takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Chase can't do much from the bottom here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chase tries to bench press Tiera off him but Tiera keeps the position.
Tiera in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Tiera is looking to take a break and control but Chase is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tiera cracks Chase with a big elbow.
Tiera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chase is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tiera off and has taken his back!

Tiera is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Chase gets his way!
Chase has the hooks in. Tiera is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Tiera is having to fend off submission attempts from Chase, who is looking to sink in the choke. Chase doesn't have the hooks in though and Tiera manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Chase manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chase trying to control but Tiera is having none of it.

Chase wants to finish this one by submission but Tiera is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chase.
Tiera is squirming around, avoiding Chase's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Tiera dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Tiera looks to land a combination but Chase avoids it well.
Chase shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Chase takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chase with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tiera to score with a decent uppercut.

and Tiera counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Chase!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tiera lands a big elbow - Chase is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Tiera!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Tiera!
