Al Aziz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bergmanis.
Bergmanis throws a hook but Al Aziz avoids it easily.

and Bergmanis counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Bergmanis is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Bergmanis gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Bergmanis gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Bergmanis apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Al Aziz looks to land a combination but Bergmanis avoids it well.
Bergmanis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Al Aziz is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Al Aziz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bergmanis asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Bergmanis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bergmanis unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Al Aziz wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Bergmanis celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
