Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Nichols (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nichols has chosen War-The Process as his entrance music. Carl Nichols has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nichols paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Nichols tightens his grip and picks Sanchez up, before dumping him to the ground. Sanchez manages to land in guard.
Sanchez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nichols passes Sanchez's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Nichols wants to advance to full mount but Sanchez doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Sanchez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nichols is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Nichols bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nichols creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Sanchez is looking for a sweep.
Nichols is trying to ground and pound but Sanchez uses the momentary lack of control by Nichols to regain half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanchez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
