Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Ahma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Holnick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahma comes to the cage accompanied by The Trooper. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holnick slips a jab from Ahma.
Ahma avoids the head kick by Holnick.
Ahma looks to land a left hand but Holnick moved out of range nicely.
Ahma throws an overhand right that lands on Holnick's shoulder, as Holnick tries to avoid the shot.
Holnick will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Holnick clinches with his opponent.
Ahma stops a takedown attempt from Holnick.
Holnick goes for a takedown attempt but Ahma pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holnick throws a hook but Ahma blocks it.
Holnick throws a push kick but Ahma slaps the foot to one side.

Holnick takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Holnick sizes up Ahma with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Ahma closes the distance and clinches up with Holnick, looking for a takedown. Ahma pushes Holnick against the cage but Holnick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Holnick avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Holnick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ahma throws an overhand right that lands on Holnick's shoulder, as Holnick tries to avoid the shot.
Holnick throws a leg kick but Ahma checks it.

Ahma swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

so Ahma counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Holnick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ahma is one step ahead there.

Holnick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ahma defends well.
Ahma wants to control from the top but Holnick keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A telegraphed right hand from Ahma misses the target.

Holnick throws a looping overhand right but Ahma ducks down to avoid it.
Ahma takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Holnick swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Holnick looks for the body kick but Ahma saw that one coming.
Holnick throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Donnie Holnick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ahma throws a series of punches but Holnick avoids them all with ease.
Ahma blocks a low kick nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Jussi Ahma will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ahma uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Holnick.
Holnick scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ahma shoots in but no luck this time.

Holnick throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Ahma avoids a kick to the body.
Ahma shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Holnick pinned against the cage. Holnick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Holnick throws a right and a left that both miss.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ahma checks a leg kick.
Holnick fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ahma.
Holnick is looking to land body kicks.
Holnick throws a body punch but Ahma moves out of range.
Holnick feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ahma's calf.

Ahma wants to control from the top but Holnick keeps moving.
Holnick looking for a sweep. Not yet Holnick, not yet.
Ahma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holnick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ahma looking to sit in guard and control but Holnick gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ahma is looking to stand up but Holnick isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holnick drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ahma dives on top into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ahma sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Holnick's guard.
Ahma working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ahma not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Ahma slips a nice elbow through Holnick's hands, connecting with Holnick's forehead.
Ahma is trying to control. Holnick wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ahma throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Ahma is stalling here. Holnick is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ahma seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Holnick has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Ahma is not content to let Holnick control the position.
Ahma wants to get back to his feet.
Holnick wants to control but Ahma is keeping him busy.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jussi Ahma will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Holnick counters with a body kick that stops Ahma in his tracks momentarily.

Holnick is looking to score with low kicks.
Ahma throws the left hand but Holnick avoids the punch easily.
Ahma blocks a head kick by Holnick.

Holnick has closed the distance and engaged Ahma in a clinch.
Ahma stops a takedown attempt from Holnick.
Holnick changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ahma fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jussi Ahma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Holnick.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holnick is refusing to be controlled, as Ahma sits in half guard.
Holnick moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Holnick keeping moving, preventing Ahma from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ahma accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Holnick is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ahma scores with a couple of nice shots.

Ahma is working Holnick over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ahma chips away with some ground and pound.
Ahma wants to control from the top but Holnick keeps moving.

Holnick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ahma's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Donnie Holnick.
I think Ahma has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
