The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGraw misses with an uppercut.
Kiriyama attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

McGraw throws a lazy right hand but Kiriyama sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kiriyama just misses with a punch to the body.
McGraw sizes up Kiriyama with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
McGraw ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and McGraw counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

McGraw lands with a light punch inside.

McGraw tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kiriyama has hold of McGraw's hands but McGraw slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

McGraw slips a nice elbow through Kiriyama's hands, connecting with Kiriyama's forehead.

McGraw looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kiriyama with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McGraw is looking to take a break and control but Kiriyama is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McGraw working over Kiriyama with some ground and pound. Kiriyama looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
McGraw is taking a breather. Kiriyama says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McGraw tries to pass to full mount but Kiriyama defends it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McGraw throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McGraw throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kiriyama on the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McGraw wants to clinch.
McGraw thows a body shot but no joy.
McGraw avoids the head kick by Kiriyama.
Kiriyama moves out of range of the strikes.
McGraw shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
McGraw with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kiriyama is looking to improve his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kiriyama is pressing down on McGraw's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kiriyama looking for a guillotine here but McGraw defends easily.
Kiriyama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGraw gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corky McGraw dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
McGraw ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McGraw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee warns Kiriyama that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McGraw cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

McGraw loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kiriyama scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from McGraw land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. McGraw stands and salutes the crowd.
