The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer tries to clinch up but Omar circles away and keeps his distance.
Mercer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mercer can't do much from the bottom here.
Omar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Omar is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mercer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mercer shrugs it off.

Omar postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Mercer badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Omar around the waist but Omar pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Omar is the winner by TKO! Omar jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
