The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roney misses with a head kick.
Banner tries to clinch but Roney moves out of range.
Roney misses with a two punch combination.
Roney goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Roney looks for a takedown but Banner sprawls well.
Roney shoots in for a takedown but Banner shows good takedown defense.
Banner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Roney to the mat! Roney manages to get full guard.
Banner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Banner tries to free his leg and advance position but Roney is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banner drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Banner seems to have locked his on tight now - Roney screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Banner, as he picks up the win!
