And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Gomez!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett is looking to clinch but Gomez is avoiding it.
Bennett looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bennett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bennett has a takedown stuffed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bennett shoots for a takedown but Gomez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bennett moves in looking to clinch but Gomez pushes him off.
Oh Bennett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bennett tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Gomez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gomez swats away the attempt to clinch by Bennett.
Bennett tries to clinch but Gomez moves out of range.
Bennett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gomez's waist but Gomez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bennett off to one side.

Bennett looks for a takedown but Gomez sprawls well.

Bennett shoots in looking for a takedown. Gomez tries to sprawl out of it but Bennett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gomez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bennett shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gomez pinned against the cage. Gomez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bennett seems to have got his legs back now.
Bennett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bennett tries a low kick but Gomez avoids it.

Takanori Gomez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No luck for Bennett with that takedown attempt.
Bennett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomez tries to avoid it but Bennett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomez to the ground. Gomez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gomez lands with a big right hook that stumbles Bennett - he's out on his feet here! Gomez follows up with another monster hook that separates Bennett from consciousness! Bennett falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Gomez stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
