The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Meyer blocks a head kick by Stanley.
Stanley takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Stanley gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Meyer.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Meyer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Stanley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meyer on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stanley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Meyer throws out the jab.

Stanley tries a head kick but it misses.

Meyer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Thijs Meyer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
