Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mini Shin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiko Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mini Shin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shin wants to clinch.
Ventura is looking to clinch but Shin is avoiding it.
Shin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ventura has a takedown stuffed.

Shin throws a looping overhand right but Ventura ducks down to avoid it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ventura is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ventura has closed the distance and engaged Shin in a clinch.

Shin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ventura doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ventura manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Shin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ventura gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Ventura is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ventura looks to land a combination. Shin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ventura is looking to clinch but Shin is avoiding it.

Shin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
