Spewak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The German National Anthem. Robb Spewak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spewak but Spewak pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Spewak thows a body shot but no joy.
Gracie checks a leg kick.
A head kick misses from Spewak.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spewak connects with a high kick.

Gracie shoots in and drives through. Spewak sprawls well.

Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Spewak tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spewak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Spewak looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Spewak saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Spewak, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Spewak against the cage but Spewak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Spewak is just out of range.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Royce Gracie has been cut.
Gracie stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Spewak.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spewak as he avoids it easily.
Gracie is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spewak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Spewak throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Spewak sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Spewak feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.

Spewak is looking to improve his position.
