The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mandic throws a series of punches but Groth moves out of range.
Mandic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Groth.
Mandic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Groth misses with a double jab.
Mandic swings widly with a right hand
and Groth counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mandic misses with a shot to the body
and Groth makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Groth misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mandic.
The fighters circling - Mandic throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Groth cracks a nice hook into Mandic's ribs.
Groth misses the shot to the body.
Mandic throws a sloppy head kick and Groth moves out of range easily.

and Groth cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Groth displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mandic throws out the jab.
Groth looks to land a combination. Mandic sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Marcel Mandic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mandic misses with a head kick.
Mandic is breathing heavily.
Groth misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Mandic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mandic throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mandic misses with a series of wild punches.
Groth connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mandic. Mandic circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Mandic ducks right into an uppercut from Groth.
Mandic lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Groth crumples to the floor! Mandic milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
