Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Magnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geowanny Velasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Magnum fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Velasco, pushing him back against the cage.

Magnum jumps guard and drags Velasco to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Magnum is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Velasco is aware though and is defending well.
Velasco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Magnum trying to control the position here.
Magnum's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Velasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magnum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Magnum is looking to stand up but Velasco isn't so interested in that idea.

Velasco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Velasco works over Magnum with some ground and pound from guard.
Velasco throws a big right hand that misses.

Magnum scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Magnum or perhaps it was just good defense by Velasco which made him look bad.
Geowanny Velasco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velasco tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Magnum pushes a forearm under Velasco's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Velasco is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
