PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ikki Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Takahoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshi Takahoshi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahoshi is looking to clinch but Morgan is avoiding it.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
Takahoshi fails in his attempt to clinch.

Takahoshi has closed the distance and engaged Morgan in a clinch.

Morgan turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Morgan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Morgan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Morgan in side control, throwing shots but Takahoshi defends.
Takahoshi is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Morgan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Morgan really is a fat lump.
Morgan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takahoshi keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Morgan wants to stand but Takahoshi has his arm trapped.

Morgan is working to tighten is grip on Takahoshi's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Takahoshi has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Morgan is really squeezing tight and eventually Takahoshi passes out! Morgan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
