Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Cruz!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Farley!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farley ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cruz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cruz throws a strike but Farley avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Farley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cruz wants to control from the top but Farley keeps moving.
Cruz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Farley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cruz has gone for a leg lock! Farley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cruz's guard.

Farley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cruz is proving hard to escape from.
Farley cracks Cruz with a solid left hand.
Farley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Farley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Farley gets to his feet - Cruz follows without any prompting.
Cruz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Farley swivels and escapes.
Danga de danga de dang - Farley scores with a four punch combination!
Farley misses with a two punch combination.
Chuck Farley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cruz walks into a jab.
Cruz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Farley keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Farley ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cruz is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cruz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Farley avoids the body shot from Cruz.
Cruz doesn't manage to clinch there - Farley circles away.
Farley lands with a nice combination. Cruz backs away looking to recover.
Cruz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Farley is fending him off so far but Cruz persists. Nope, Farley circles away and we're back to standing.
Cruz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Farley avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pedro Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Farley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Farley lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cruz at a distance.
Cruz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Cruz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Farley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A jab-cross combination lands for Farley and sends Cruz crashing to the mat! Farley follows him down to the mat - Cruz regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Cruz is rocked!
It looks like Pedro Cruz has been cut.
Farley is looking for a kimura but Cruz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Farley to get the leverage.
Oh Cruz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cruz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Farley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Cruz wants to control but Farley is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cruz seems to have got his legs back now.

Farley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cruz keeps working.
Farley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Farley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cruz defends it well.
Cruz is looking for a sweep. Farley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Farley trying to control from half guard but Cruz is working away.
Cruz wants to control but Farley is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cruz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Cruz is trying to control but Farley manages to pass to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Farley scores with a three punch combo!
Cruz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cruz misses with a takedown attempt - Farley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cruz dives in and grabs Farley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Farley pushes down on Cruz's head and hops out.

Farley lands a left and a right that sends Cruz crashing to the canvas! Farley dives into mount looking to finish!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Farley! Cruz is out cold! This one is all over!
