Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Houseman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Win (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Houseman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mickey Win!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Win wants to clinch up but Houseman keeps it at a distance.
Houseman looks for a takedown but Win sprawls well.
Win misses with a head kick.

Houseman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Win to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Win stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Houseman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Win controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Win is looking to stand up but Houseman won't let him.

Houseman is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Houseman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Win smiles and moves away.
Win throws a head kick but Houseman moves out of range.

Win has taken the fight to the clinch.

Win manages to pull guard.
Win throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Houseman's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Houseman thows a big elbow that misses.
Houseman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Win wants to get back to his feet but Houseman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Win really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houseman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Win tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Houseman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Win has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Houseman has managed to get both his arms back between Win's legs - danger averted.
Win wants to stand and escape but Houseman is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Win has his takedown stuffed
and Houseman counters with a left to the body.
Win looks gassed!
Win fails to land the takedown.
Win sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Houseman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Win's efforts to push away.

Win works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Houseman lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Houseman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Houseman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Win's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Win can do anything to dispel that myth.
Win is trying to maintain the position but Houseman is very close to passing his half guard.
Houseman stops Win from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyler Houseman will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Houseman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Houseman tries to keep at a distance but Win has taken the fight into the clinch.
Win tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Houseman smiles and moves away.

and Win counters with a nice double leg into side control. Houseman won't be happy with that.

Win wants to stand but Houseman is controlling his arm.
Win tries to stand but Houseman controls the position and pulls Win into his guard.

Houseman has his feet on Win's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Win is breathing heavily.

Win clinches but Houseman breaks the clinch
and Houseman counters with a nice leg kick.
Win throws a combination that misses
and Houseman counters with an inside leg kick.
Houseman throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Houseman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Win closes the distance but Houseman moves to the side
and Houseman counters with a two punch combo.
Win tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Houseman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Win is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Win walks into a jab.
Win throws a body kick the misses
and Houseman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Nice sprawl there from Houseman as Win shoots in.
Win is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Houseman.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Win shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Houseman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Houseman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Win doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Win manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Houseman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Win stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Houseman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Win looking to sit in guard and control but Houseman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Win looking to hit a scissor sweep but Houseman is one step ahead there.

Win gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Houseman counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Win falls off balance throwing a combination
and Houseman counters with a solid body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Houseman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Win doesn't manage to clinch there - Houseman circles away.
Win misses with a jab to the body
enabling Houseman to counter with a crisp jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Win shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Win was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Houseman regains half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Houseman dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Houseman with a lazy takedown attempt

and Win counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Houseman's guard now.
Houseman keeping moving, preventing Win from controlling successfully.
Win must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Win tries to free his leg and advance position but Houseman is retaining full guard.
Houseman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Win jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Houseman walks away with a smile on his face. Win gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Houseman controls Win momentarily but Win frees himself.
Win looking to sit in guard and control but Houseman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Houseman drops back looking for a leg! Win is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Win manages to kick Houseman off! Houseman jumps back into Win's guard.
Win looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Houseman won't allow Win to get back to his feet.
Houseman's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Win is looking to stand back up but Houseman counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Win.
Houseman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Houseman lands a nice short elbow.
Win has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Houseman is working away from the top position though.
Win wants to improve his position but Houseman is controlling well.
Houseman scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Win wants to control but Houseman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tyler Houseman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mickey Win has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Houseman has managed to clinch.
Houseman tries to break free but Win pushes him back against the cage.
Houseman has had enough of the clinch but Win keeps him there for the moment.
Mickey Win has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Win looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Mickey Win comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Houseman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
