Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bart Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruas has chosen Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruas swats away the attempt to clinch by Simpson.

The referee asks Ruas politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ruas prefers to stall for the moment though.

Ruas throws a strike aimed at the side of Simpson's head but Simpson avoids it well.

Simpson parries the strikes from Ruas easily there. Ruas is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Simpson to escape.

Ruas swings around for an armbar but Simpson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ruas's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ruas throws a strike but Simpson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ruas is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Simpson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Simpson!

Ruas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simpson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simpson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
