Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Janssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuunojuhani Laavalahti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janssen comes into the arena with Orgineel Amsterdam blaring out of the sound system. Laavalahti has chosen Raise up - Petey Pablo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Janssen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kuunojuhani Laavalahti!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laavalahti connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Janssen's hands.
Janssen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Janssen dives in and grabs Laavalahti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Laavalahti pushes down on Janssen's head and hops out.
Janssen keeps the fight on the outside.
Janssen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laavalahti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Janssen somewhat.

Laavalahti rushes Janssen and presses him up against the cage.
Janssen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Laavalahti gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Janssen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Janssen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Laavalahti is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Janssen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Janssen has escaped and now he's on top!

Janssen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Laavalahti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Janssen has managed to get both his arms back between Laavalahti's legs - danger averted.

Laavalahti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Janssen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Laavalahti escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Janssen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Laavalahti is staying active underneath Janssen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laavalahti is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Janssen scores with a couple of nice shots.

Laavalahti drops back looking for a leg! Janssen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Janssen manages to kick Laavalahti off! Laavalahti jumps back into Janssen's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Janssen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laavalahti sprawls well. Laavalahti wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Janssen gets slowly back to his feet.

Laavalahti goes for a takedown attempt but Janssen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Laavalahti swats away the attempt to clinch by Janssen.

Janssen shoots in and bounces Laavalahti off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Laavalahti isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Janssen stacks Laavalahti on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Janssen!

Janssen has hold of Laavalahti's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Laavalahti seems comfortable defending it but Janssen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Laavalahti is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Laavalahti is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Janssen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
