Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Sauvage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phillip Sauvage!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snow clinches with his opponent.

Snow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sauvage shoots in for a takedown but Snow shows good takedown defense.
Sauvage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snow swivels and escapes.
Sauvage has a takedown stuffed.
Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phillip Sauvage.
Snow slaps away a takedown attempt from Sauvage, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Snow swings for the body but Sauvage moves out of range.
Sauvage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Snow as he jumps to the side.

Snow looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Snow trying to control the action but Sauvage is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sauvage blocking the ground and pound attempt from Snow.
Sauvage is looking to improve his position.
Snow stalling away here and it's allowed Sauvage to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Snow is stalling in the full guard.
Sauvage is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Snow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sauvage fails with the takedown

and Snow counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sauvage has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Snow is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sauvage is trying to drag Snow to the mat but Snow just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

and Snow counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sauvage's guard now.
Snow is breathing heavily.
Snow wants to control from the top but Sauvage keeps moving.
Sauvage looking for a sweep. Not yet Sauvage, not yet.

Sauvage trying to keep a closed guard but Snow is proving a slippery customer.
Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Sauvage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sauvage tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Snow counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Snow counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Snow's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Sauvage wants to sweep here but Snow controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Snow won't allow Sauvage to sweep him here.

Sauvage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Snow manages to get himself to full guard.

Sauvage drops back looking for a leg! Snow is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Snow manages to kick Sauvage off! Sauvage jumps back into Snow's guard.

Sauvage wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.
Snow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sauvage is pushing down on Snow's leg trying to pass to half guard. Snow is fighting to maintain full guard but Sauvage has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sauvage is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Snow is not content to let Sauvage control the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Snow is in trouble now - Sauvage has advanced to mount!
Snow is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sauvage punching from mount but Snow doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Sauvage is working for a guillotine from mount but Snow frees his head quite easily.
Sauvage with shots to the head and body - Snow looks very uncomfortable down there.
Snow tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Phillip Sauvage will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Sauvage has his takedown stuffed

and Snow counters by moving into the clinch.

Sauvage drops down looking for an ankle pick but Snow pulls his leg out and moves away.

Snow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snow has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sauvage is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jon Snow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Snow counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Sauvage tries to free his leg and advance position but Snow is retaining full guard.

Sauvage might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Snow kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sauvage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snow swivels and escapes.
Sauvage looks for a takedown but Snow sprawls well.
Phillip Sauvage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sauvage changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but Sauvage manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Snow moves into the clinch successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sauvage goes for a takedown in the clinch but Snow prevents it.

Snow has clasped his hands together around Sauvage's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Sauvage gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Snow wants to control but instead Sauvage manages to regain half guard.
Sauvage is looking for a sweep. Snow is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Snow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
