The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero slips a jab and a cross from Carwin.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zero.
Carwin misses with a double jab.

Carwin lands a big right hand that sends Zero crashing to the mat! Carwin stays standing though and waves Zero back to his feet!

It looks like Ray Zero has been cut.
Zero tries to clinch up but Carwin circles away and keeps his distance.
Carwin with a body punch. A glancing blow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zero gets a clinch.
Zero stalling in the clinch but Carwin improves position.
Carwin is trying to break free.

Zero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carwin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Carwin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zero throws a lazy right hand but Carwin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carwin misses with a wild combination.
Shane Carwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carwin lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Carwin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Zero sprawling to the canvas! Zero rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Carwin finish him?!

Zero is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carwin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zero is still on wobbly legs! Can Carwin finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Carwin knocks Zero out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
