The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from DuBrul misses.
Oooh a lovely combination from Clay sends DuBrul down but not out. Clay dives into side control looking to finish.

DuBrul drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Clay manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now DuBrul has Clay in his guard.

Clay has gone for a leg lock! DuBrul slips out almost immediately though and dives into Clay's guard.

DuBrul is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Clay sees it coming and defends easily.

DuBrul tries to close the distance and clinch up but Clay swats him away and circles back towards the center.

DuBrul goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Clay has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for DuBrul but great work by Clay.

DuBrul drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DuBrul jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

DuBrul changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clay tries to avoid it but DuBrul manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clay to the ground. Clay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
