Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heath Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Findley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Findley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Findley circles away.

Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A lull in the action here as Smith stalls from top position.
Smith is working Findley over with some ground and pound from side control.
Smith remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Smith is staying tight to Findley's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Findley is trying to get back to his feet.
Findley regains half guard.
Findley tries to kick Smith off in order to stand up. Smith Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Smith lands some shots froms side control.
The referee asks Smith politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Smith prefers to stall for the moment though.
Findley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Findley is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Findley is looking to reverse the position.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Findley keeps working.

Findley is pushing Smith's head away, looking to escape. Smith manages to hold on to the position though.
Findley is letting Smith control him for a moment.

Smith lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Findley down.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Smith throws a half hearted mid kick.
Smith fails with the takedown.

Smith throws a hook but Findley avoids it easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.
Smith connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Findley takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Findley is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Smith trying to control but Findley is having none of it.
Smith is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Smith with a couple of short strikes.

Findley is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Smith has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Findley's face.

Findley is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Findley badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Smith around the waist but Smith pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Smith is the winner by TKO! Smith jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
