Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yokohama Humahuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Linkin Park - New Divide kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Carter!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter tries to land a leg kick but Humahuta saw it coming and moves away.
Humahuta thows a left - swing and a miss!
Humahuta slips a jab from Carter.
Humahuta takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Carter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Humahuta.
Carter moves forwards but Humahuta connects with a nice, crisp jab.
No joy there for Carter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter throws the left hand but Humahuta avoids the punch easily.
Carter moves out of range as Humahuta strikes.
Carter defending well as Humahuta loads up on a big left hand.
Humahuta has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carter finds it's way round the side to connect with Humahuta's head.

Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Humahuta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Carter connects with a high kick.

The fighters circling - Humahuta throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Carter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Carter jabs Humahuta right on the nose. Humahuta blinks but takes it well.

Carter dips to his left and cracks Humahuta with an uppercut!
Carter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Carter connects with the punch.
Carter throws the kick towards the body but Humahuta avoids it.
A jab from Humahuta misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Carter.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Carter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Humahuta is rocked!
Humahuta on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Humahuta tries to get out of the position.

Carter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Humahuta, who protects the arm well.
Carter moves into full mount!
Humahuta takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Oh Humahuta is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carter unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Humahuta wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Carter celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
