Nevar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nevar misses with a wild body shot.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johnson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nevar lands a body shot.
Artiom Nevar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nevar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Johnson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Nevar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nevar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Nevar stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Nevar is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Johnson tries to kick Nevar off in order to stand up. Nevar Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Nevar is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Johnson's shoulder. That is not cool.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nevar asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Nevar is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Johnson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nevar gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Johnson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nevar lets go of the hold and Johnson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
