The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

wayne has closed the distance and engaged ALIMUOM in a clinch.
wayne changes levels and goes for a takedown here. ALIMUOM fights it off and pushes away nicely.

ALIMUOM darts in and clinches wayne up against the cage.
ALIMUOM tries to pull guard but wayne holds him up against the cage and eventually ALIMUOM drops back down to his feet.

wayne pulls ALIMUOM into guard.

wayne looking for a guillotine here but ALIMUOM defends easily.

ALIMUOM stands up and waves to wayne to follow him.

ALIMUOM looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for wayne!
ALIMUOM lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
wayne is wriggling around trying to escape.

wayne wants to control but ALIMUOM is having none of it.
wayne sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

ALIMUOM is thwarting wayne's attempts to control the position.
wayne avoiding damage under a succession of punches from ALIMUOM.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
ALIMUOM thows a huge punch but wayne dodges it nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
wayne is controlling ALIMUOM's trapped leg to prevent ALIMUOM from advancing to side control.
ALIMUOM sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. wayne defending well though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
ALIMUOM fails with the takedown

and wayne counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by wayne.
ALIMUOM preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

wayne wants to control from the top but ALIMUOM keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
ALIMUOM bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in wayne's guard.
ALIMUOM postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
ALIMUOM prevents wayne from getting back to his feet.

ALIMUOM prevents wayne from improving his position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

BOY ALIMUOM showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

wayne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
ALIMUOM wants to stand but wayne has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
wayne not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
wayne is looking to stand up but ALIMUOM isn't so interested in that idea.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

ALIMUOM gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
ALIMUOM with a lazy takedown attempt

and wayne counters with a shoot takedown. ALIMUOM fights it but they end up in guard.
wayne postures up in ALIMUOM's guard and throws a big left but ALIMUOM blocks it.
ALIMUOM is looking to stand up but wayne isn't so interested in that idea.

wayne trying to control but ALIMUOM is working from the bottom.
ALIMUOM striking off his back but it's not causing wayne any problems.
wayne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for ALIMUOM on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
ALIMUOM shoots and misses

and wayne holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
wayne scores a nice knee to the body.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

wayne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

wayne closes the distance and clinches up with ALIMUOM, looking for a takedown. wayne pushes ALIMUOM against the cage but ALIMUOM circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

wayne moves into the clinch.
wayne tries for a takedown. No joy.
ALIMUOM jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as wayne walks away with a smile on his face. ALIMUOM gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
john wayne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BOY ALIMUOM.

ALIMUOM shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches wayne napping and manages to drive through into side control!
wayne is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

ALIMUOM stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
ALIMUOM closes the distance looking to clinch

and wayne counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by wayne.

ALIMUOM is looking to break free of the clinch but wayne has double underhooks.
ALIMUOM fails to pull guard.
wayne makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
wayne taking a breather.
wayne is trying to force a seperation but ALIMUOM has the dominant position.
wayne prevents the takedown attempt.
wayne stalling.
ALIMUOM drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
wayne drops down looking for an ankle pick but ALIMUOM pulls his leg out and moves away.
john wayne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
ALIMUOM looks to clinch

and wayne counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
BOY ALIMUOM is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
wayne wants to pass the guard but ALIMUOM is keeping the position.
ALIMUOM lands a decent shot there.
