Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hercule Poirot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zygarath Shinsaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poirot comes to the ring accompanied by Poirot Theme. Zygarath Shinsaku will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Shinsaku.

Shinsaku thuds his right hand into Poirot's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Shinsaku keeps Poirot at a distance using the push kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Poirot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shinsaku - the referee stops the clock and Poirot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shinsaku. Poirot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Shinsaku is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shinsaku fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Poirot looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Shinsaku throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Poirot walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Shinsaku connects with a nice looking jab.

Shinsaku lands a big head kick that sends Poirot tumbling to the mat! Shinsaku takes a step backwards and waves Poirot back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Poirot tries to move into range but Shinsaku moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Shinsaku lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Shinsaku comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Poirot chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shinsaku can pounce on him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
