Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Kinks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Kinks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Jones!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kinks pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jones is out of range and Kinks settles back down.
Kinks fails to land the takedown.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kinks.
Jones misses with a takedown

and Kinks counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Kinks works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kinks is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Jones manages to get to full guard.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Kinks from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kinks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kinks looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Kinks would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kinksis looking to pass into half guard but Jones pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jones is in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kinks is trying to keep Jones in close.

Kinks is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kinks counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones!
Kinks is breathing heavily.
Kinks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.
Kinks avoids the attempt from Jones to control.

Kinks putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
A nice elbow there by Kinks.
Kinks throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kinks with a couple of short strikes.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Kinks's attempts to control the action.
Jones tries to reverse the position but Kinks maintains control.

A looping hook to the body misses from Kinks. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Kinks, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Kinks against the cage but Kinks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kinks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Kinks didn't expect that.

Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kinks, up you get!

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Kinks fights it but they end up in guard.

Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Kinks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.

Kinks looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kinks can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Kinks's temple.
Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kinks is trying to control but can't.
Kinks tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kinks wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.

Jones stands up from half guard.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Ian Kinks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Jones.

Kinks clinches but Jones breaks the clinch

and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kinks is striking from the bottom but Jones uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
Kinks is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kinks is trying to stand.

Jones stands up from half guard.

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kinks manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones stands up from Kinks's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kinks is not content to let Jones control the position.
Kinks is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kinks, pushing him back against the cage.
Kinks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.

Jones manages to break the clinch.
Kinks fails with the takedown.
Kinks tries to clinch but Jones moves away

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Kinks fights it but they end up in guard.
Jones's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Mike Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Kinks will be more careful next time no doubt.

Jones is keen to just control but Kinks is a slippery customer.
Kinks wants to get back to full guard.

Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kinks sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kinks manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kinks counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones!
Kinks lands with some strikes.
Kinks won't let Jones get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Jones swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Kinks wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
Jones is trying desperately to improve position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kinks landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!

Kinks stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ian Kinks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kinks shoots and misses

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian Kinks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jones working over Kinks with some ground and pound. Kinks looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
