Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fricke blocks a head kick by Diabate.
Diabate scores a takedown into full mount!
Diabate will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fricke takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diabate swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fricke is now in Diabate's guard. A big mistake from Diabate there, giving up the dominant position!

Diabate clobbers Fricke with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Samy Diabate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Fricke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Diabate's guard.
Diabate really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Diabate working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fricke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fricke manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Diabate shoots for a double leg takedown but Fricke sprawls well. He's pushed Diabate's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close second round but I would say that Samy Diabate will probably get the nod.
