Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hideaki Katsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krabi Boran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideaki Katsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krabi Boran!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katsu shoots in looking for a takedown. Boran tries to sprawl out of it but Katsu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boran manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Katsu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Katsu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boran tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Katsu shoots for a double leg takedown but Boran sprawls well. He's pushed Katsu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hideaki Katsu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boran wants to clinch up but Katsu keeps it at a distance.

Katsu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Katsu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Katsu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Katsu drops back looking for a leg! Boran is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boran manages to kick Katsu off! Katsu jumps back into Boran's guard.

Katsu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boran manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Katsu has Boran in his guard.
Katsu is breathing heavily.
Boran stays in close to Katsu's body and controls the position.

Boran stands up and waves to Katsu to follow him.
Some bone on bone action there as Katsu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Katsu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Boran scoring well with a low kick there.
Boran takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boran tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boran throws a head kick that misses.
Boran throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Boran.
Katsu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boran sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Katsu somewhat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Katsu is defended easily by Boran.

Katsu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boran defends it nicely.
Boran walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Katsu checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Boran moves in looking to clinch but Katsu pushes him off.
Boran tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Katsu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Katsu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Katsu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boran avoids it really well and circles away.

Boran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boran throws a right hand that Katsu ducks under and follows up with a left that Katsu also avoids with ease.

It looks like Hideaki Katsu has been cut.
Boran throws a half hearted mid kick.
Katsu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boran sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Krabi Boran seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Horrible takedown by Katsu or perhaps it was just good defense by Boran which made him look bad.
Katsu circles away from the clinch attempt.

Katsu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boran as he jumps to the side.
Katsu checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Katsu just misses with a punch to the body.

Boran leaves Katsu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boran fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Katsu checks it well.

Krabi Boran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Boran throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boran. Katsu does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boran looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Katsu is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Boran has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Boran!

Krabi Boran is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Krabi Boran comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Boran has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
