Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes to the cage accompanied by Runnin. BJ Gracie has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Diego Mir's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Mir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Mir.
Mir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
BJ Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mir is keeping the position for now.
Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Mir's brow.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Gracie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mir keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.

Despite being in the dominant position, BJ Gracie just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mir tries to clinch up.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mir did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
Gracie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Gracie passes the guard and advances to mount!
Gracie looking to control and managing it successfully.
I looks like Gracie might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Gracie wants to control the pace but Mir is squirming around nicely.

Gracie lands a big shot there that rocks Mir but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Gracie connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Mir is breathing heavily.
Gracie with a couple of short strikes.
Mir trying desperately to get to his feet.
Gracie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Mir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Gracie controlling the position easily from mount.

Gracie looking for a guillotine from mount but Mir is having none of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mir trying desperately to get to his feet.

Gracie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mir turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie off and cradles Mir's limp body as Gracie celebrates with his corner.
