The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smasher tries a head kick but it misses.

Smasher looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smasher trying to pass the guard but Pain defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smasher is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Smasher prevents Pain from standing back up.
Pain wants to improve his position but Smasher is controlling well.

Smasher seems to be looking for submissions.
Pain tries to kick Smasher off in order to stand up. Smasher Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Pain is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Pain tries to get to full guard but Smasher has control of the leg.
Pain is trying to stand.

Smasher seems to be working for a kimura but Pain defends the submission attempt.
Pain is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Smasher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Smasher's back!
Smasher is breathing heavily.
Smasher manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pain's guard. Nice work there by Smasher.

Pain is looking to sinch up a triangle. Smasher throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pain's body to avoid the submission. Pain has instead reached around Smasher's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pain arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
