PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and pj veenstra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Perry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drop The World by Lil Wayne and Eminem. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

veenstra drives through with a takedown into guard.
Perry wants to get back to his feet but veenstra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
veenstra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Perry is looking to stand up but veenstra isn't so interested in that idea.
veenstra wants to pass the guard but Perry is keeping the position.
Perry wants to stand up but veenstra is controlling him.

veenstra drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and veenstra jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
veenstra postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Perry thows a left - swing and a miss!
veenstra dodges the punch combination from Perry.
veenstra looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Perry is fending him off so far but veenstra persists. Nope, Perry circles away and we're back to standing.
Perry throws a jab but it's blocked by veenstra.
veenstra shoots in looking for a takedown. Perry tries to sprawl out of it but veenstra keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Perry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Perry connects with a high kick.

veenstra closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Perry to the mat! Perry manages to get full guard.

veenstra drops back looking for a leg! Perry is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Perry manages to kick veenstra off! veenstra jumps back into Perry's guard.
Perry wants to get back to his feet but veenstra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

veenstra looking to sit in guard and control but Perry gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Perry wanted to stand there but veenstra had control of the position.

Perry stands up from veenstra's guard - Perry perhaps looking for a knockout.
Perry lands with a nice combination. veenstra backs away looking to recover.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perry bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps veenstra's head backwards.
veenstra avoids a punch combination nicely.
Decent striking displayed by Perry there.

Perry drops veenstra with a beautiful combination! veenstra stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Perry is looking for the KO!

veenstra is rocked!
veenstra looks gassed!
Perry circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends veenstra tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Perry wins by KO!
