Chaves has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Daniel Chaves could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Blazej Polak's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Polak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chaves could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Polak looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Chaves!
Chaves is breathing heavily.

Polak is working for a guillotine from mount but Chaves frees his head quite easily.

Polak is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chaves has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chaves!
Chaves tries to stand but Polak is controlling from the bottom.

Polak seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chaves is looking to stand up but Polak won't let him.

Polak has his feet on Chaves's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Chaves throws a nice looking combination but Polak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Polak is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Chaves is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Chaves flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Polak anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Chaves and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Polak slips an arm under Chaves chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Polak has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Polak is squeezing on Chaves like an anaconda would it's prey. Chaves fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
