Dean shoots in for a takedown but carlson shows good takedown defense.

carlson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dean was well out of range. Poor timing from carlson .
A decent looking cross lands there for carlson .

Charles carlson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

carlson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dean has time to react.

carlson lands a nice shot that snaps Dean's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Dean counters with a left and a right that stings carlson .
Dean throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around carlson 's waist but carlson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dean off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Dean. That's going to take a lot out of him.
carlson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
carlson connects with a superb combination that knocks Dean out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles carlson before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Dean!
