Woods comes into the arena with Jackson 5 - ABC blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Watts looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Woods uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Watts.
Woods slips a jab and a cross from Watts.
Woods moves away from the strike by Watts.
Watts misses with the combination.
Watts throws a jab when Woods was well out of range.
Watts misses with the combination.
Watts doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Good standup being displayed there by Woods as he connects with a hook.


It looks like Ken Watts has been cut.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Woods wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Woods changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Woods is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Watts's half guard.

Woods shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Watts manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Watts moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Woods comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Woods has closed the distance and engaged Watts in a clinch.

Woods's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Woods counters with a nice double leg into side control. Watts won't be happy with that.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Woods throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Watts stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Woods shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Watts as he jumps to the side.

Watts gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Woods avoiding damage.
Watts tries to break the clinch but Woods is controlling the position.

Woods escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Watts fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Woods feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Manny Woods overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
