Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scipio Africanus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Hawkings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scipio Africanus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Shawn Hawkings!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkings will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Africanus feints and as Hawkings raises his hands in defense, Africanus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Africanus throws and elbow that misses. Hawkings uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Africanus's guard. Nice move by Hawkings!
Hawkings stopping the sweep attempt from Africanus.
Africanus has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hawkings has passed into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hawkings trying to control the action but Africanus is working from the bottom.
Africanus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hawkings wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hawkings wants to control but Africanus is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Africanus tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hawkings scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Africanus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hawkings as he jumps to the side.
Africanus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Scipio Africanus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Africanus takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Africanus shoots in but no luck this time.
Africanus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Africanus fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scipio Africanus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawkings lands a big uppercut and Africanus crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Africanus looks OK. Hawkings waves Africanus back to his feet!
Africanus is rocked!
It looks like Scipio Africanus has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawkings drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Africanus's head, knocking him out cold! Hawkings is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shawn Hawkings!
