Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kid Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlos Tevez!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

It looks like Carlos Tevez has been cut.

A telegraphed right hand from Carwin misses the target.
Tevez tries to bum rush Carwin with a series of wild strikes but Carwin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tevez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carwin.
Tevez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Carwin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carwin chips away with some ground and pound.
Carwin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tevez's guard.

Carwin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Carwin wants to work for an arm triangle but Tevez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tevez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Carwin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carwin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Carwin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tevez was covering up waiting for the punch and Carwin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Carwin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tevez for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carwin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Carwin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
