The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Penn moves away.
Smith lands a nice shot that snaps Penn's head back.
No luck for Penn with that takedown attempt.
Penn moves out of range of the strikes.
Penn takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Penn has a takedown stuffed.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Penn is just out of range.
Penn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Penn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Penn gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Penn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Smith is looking to work some ground and pound but Penn has wrist control.
Penn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Smith wants to stand but Penn is controlling his posture from full guard.

Smith is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Penn has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Smith is looking to defend but Penn has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Smith! Penn pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Smith taps out and this one is all over!
