Mash shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Maya napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mash bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Maya gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maya swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Mash decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Mash throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maya was covering up waiting for the punch and Mash finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Maya suckers Mash into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Maya is now in Mash's guard!
Mash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mash has control of Maya's left arm, preventing Maya from doing any damage.

Maya wants to get up but he can't break Mash's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mash lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mash loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Maya scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Mash land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Mash stands and salutes the crowd.
