The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torttu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming CroKick to the mat! CroKick manages to get full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Torttu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
CroKick pulls Torttu in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
CroKick manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

CroKick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Torttu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. CroKick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Torttu can do anything to dispel that myth.

Torttu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
CroKick sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

CroKick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Torttu is working away from the top position though.

Torttu slips a nice elbow through CroKick's hands, connecting with CroKick's forehead.

Torttu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and CroKick defends it well.

CroKick has his foot on Torttu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Torttu works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

You can see the frustration on Torttu's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
