Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Smelly Nickers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Sabio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Smelly Nickers has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Smelly Nickers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Sabio!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sabio drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sabio working the head and body with strikes.
Sabio is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Nickers's shoulder. That is not cool.

Sabio tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sabio is looking to take a break and control but Nickers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sabio grinds an elbow into Nickers's temple.

Sabio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nickers keeps working.

Nickers is trying to control Sabio's posture but Sabio avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Michael Sabio just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sabio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nickers was covering up waiting for the punch and Sabio finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sabio wants to control from the top but Nickers keeps moving.
Sabio controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Sabio lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Sabio is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Michael Sabio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sabio is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sabio wants to work for an arm triangle but Nickers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sabio perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Sabio thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Sabio is looking for a kimura but Nickers is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sabio to get the leverage.

Nickers tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sabio manages to move to mount!
Sabio is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nickers can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Well Sabio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
