Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Cooney leaves One with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cooney fails with an attempt to clinch.
One is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
One closes the distance and clinches up with Cooney , looking for a takedown. One pushes Cooney against the cage but Cooney circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A solid body kick from One.
Cooney defends well against a solid takedown attempt from One.
Raymond Cooney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dukul One.
Cooney throws a left and a right that both miss
and One counters with a big head kick but Cooney shrugs it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cooney circles away from the clinch attempt.
One jabs at Cooney 's body.
Cooney is breathing heavily.
Cooney stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cooney wants it to stay on the feet.

Cooney is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in One's half guard.
Cooney prevents One from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
One moves into full guard.
One wants to sweep but no luck.
One not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cooney trying to control the position from guard on top but One is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cooney trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cooney wants to get up but he can't break One's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
One has his takedown stuffed

and Cooney counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in One's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cooney slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cooney has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Cooney wants to pass the guard but One is keeping the position.

Cooney drops back looking for a leg! One is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and One manages to kick Cooney off! Cooney jumps back into One's guard.
Cooney is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cooney gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Cooney feints and as One raises his hands in defense, Cooney changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cooney pushing down on One's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
One has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cooney is working away from the top position though.

Cooney maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! One could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Cooney has cracked it and One is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Cooney !
