Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Pavlyuchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gjallerhorn Sjorpitzorgen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sjorpitzorgen has chosen Ormurin Langi as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aleksander Pavlyuchenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gjallerhorn Sjorpitzorgen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlyuchenko shoots in but Sjorpitzorgen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sjorpitzorgen lunges at Pavlyuchenko with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pavlyuchenko's hand.

Pavlyuchenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pavlyuchenko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sjorpitzorgen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Sjorpitzorgen tries to bench press Pavlyuchenko off him but Pavlyuchenko keeps the position.
Pavlyuchenko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Pavlyuchenko tries to score with some ground and pound. Sjorpitzorgen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Sjorpitzorgen is not content to let Pavlyuchenko control the position.

Sjorpitzorgen tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Pavlyuchenko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sjorpitzorgen won't be happy with that.

Pavlyuchenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sjorpitzorgen keeps working.

Sjorpitzorgen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Sjorpitzorgen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pavlyuchenko, pushing him back against the cage.
Sjorpitzorgen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sjorpitzorgen jumps guard and drags Pavlyuchenko to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Pavlyuchenko cracks Sjorpitzorgen with a solid left hand.
Sjorpitzorgen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pavlyuchenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pavlyuchenko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sjorpitzorgen for as long as he can get away with.
Pavlyuchenko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Pavlyuchenko wants to control from the top but Sjorpitzorgen keeps moving.

Pavlyuchenko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sjorpitzorgen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pavlyuchenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pavlyuchenko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sjorpitzorgen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sjorpitzorgen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pavlyuchenko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The referee warns Sjorpitzorgen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Pavlyuchenko is landing with some decent strikes but Sjorpitzorgen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Pavlyuchenko has hold of Sjorpitzorgen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sjorpitzorgen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pavlyuchenko is working for a guillotine from mount but Sjorpitzorgen frees his head quite easily.

Pavlyuchenko goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sjorpitzorgen turns into him and now he's in Pavlyuchenko's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sjorpitzorgen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pavlyuchenko, up you get!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pavlyuchenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pavlyuchenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pavlyuchenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sjorpitzorgen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pavlyuchenko pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sjorpitzorgen is pressed up against the cage. Pavlyuchenko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sjorpitzorgen down to the mat. Sjorpitzorgen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Pavlyuchenko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sjorpitzorgen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pavlyuchenko, into his guard.

Sjorpitzorgen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pavlyuchenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sjorpitzorgen has managed to get both his arms back between Pavlyuchenko's legs - danger averted.
