Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Flamebeard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mat McWhorter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flamebeard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McWhorter moves away.

McWhorter moves into the clinch.
Flamebeard tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McWhorter's elbow.
Flamebeard misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McWhorter.
McWhorter jumps guard but Flamebeard stands there with McWhorter around his waist. McWhorter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Flamebeard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flamebeard misses with a series of wild punches.

Flamebeard has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McWhorter is trying to keep an underhook but Flamebeard manages to get the takedown into half guard.

McWhorter has hold of Flamebeard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Flamebeard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
