Cash comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Unsung kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Antawn Fabregas could well score a knockout today. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antawn Fabregas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Keon Cash!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash thows a body shot but no joy.
Cash misses with a head kick.
Fabregas thows a body shot but no joy.
Cash throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fabregas's head.


It looks like Antawn Fabregas has been cut.
Cash connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Cash throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cash misses with a few strikes there.
Fabregas avoids the head kick by Cash.

Cash moves into the clinch successfully.
Cash misses with a knee to the head.
Cash lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fabregas backwards.
Cash lands a nice elbow.
Cash lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Fabregas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cash pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fabregas takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Cash stalks Fabregas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fabregas's face. Fabregas staggers backwards, shaken.
Fabregas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fabregas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cash defends it nicely.
Fabregas dives in and grabs Cash's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cash pushes down on Fabregas's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antawn Fabregas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cash's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Cash duly obliges.
Keon Cash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cash lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fabregas circles away quickly and effectively.

Cash throws a series of punches but Fabregas moves out of range.
Fabregas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Fabregas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cash, pushing him back against the cage.
Fabregas takes an elbow to the forehead.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fabregas. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Fabregas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cash pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cash stalks Fabregas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fabregas's face. Fabregas staggers backwards, shaken.
Cash looks gassed!
Cash goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fabregas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fabregas shoots in for a double leg but Cash sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cash throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cash lands a two punch combo.
Cash throws a series of strikes that have Fabregas backpedaling.
Cash throws a jab when Fabregas was well out of range.
Cash is working the combinations to good effect here.
Cash fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fabregas throws a predictable looking body shot
and Cash counters with a nice low kick that buckles Fabregas's knee momentarily.
Cash throws a head kick that misses.
Fabregas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cash but Cash pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cash avoids the body shot from Fabregas.
Fabregas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Fabregas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cash to the mat! Cash manages to get full guard.
Fabregas wants to pass the guard but Cash is keeping the position.
Cash wants to stand and escape but Fabregas is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cash is looking to stand up but Fabregas isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabregas misses the body punch
and Cash counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fabregas is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Cash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fabregas.
Some wild striking there from Cash.
Cash pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cash will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fabregas throws out a loose jab but Cash uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cash lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fabregas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fabregas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Cash is breathing heavily.

Fabregas throws a hook but Cash blocks it.
Cash swats away the attempt to clinch by Fabregas.

Fabregas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fabregas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cash is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Fabregas yanks on the arm and Cash is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Fabregas.
