Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Dos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Mack the knife as his entrance music. Sam Dos Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to bum rush Alves with a series of wild strikes but Alves uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Nice shot lands for Silva.
Alves has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Alves which made him look bad.
Silva scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Alves shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alves showed some decent athleticism there.
Silva wants to improve his position but Alves is controlling well.
Alves is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Alves swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Alves's guard. A big mistake from Alves there, giving up the dominant position!

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Alves will probably get the nod.

Sam Dos Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alves manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Alves drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva lands a nice forearm strike.
Silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Silva shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alves is trying to defend but Silva finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are battling for position here. Alves manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Silva gets to his feet. Alves looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Silva connects with a right hand. Alves shakes it off.
Alves shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.

Andrew Alves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Alves drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Silva follows Alves to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
