Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luan Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Sewell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sousa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Voodoo Child. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sewell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sewell wants it to stay on the feet.
Sousa misses with a double jab.

Sewell has Sousa up against the cage in a clinch.
Sousa goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sewell prevents it.
Sousa pushes off an throws an elbow but Sewell leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Sousa is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sewell can't fight it off and eventually Sousa manages to take the fight to the floor. Sewell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sousa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sewell is proving hard to escape from.

Sousa stands and steps away. Sewell gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sousa leaves Sewell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sousa misses with a hook. Sewell ducked under it nicely.

Sewell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sousa but Sousa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sousa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sewell.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sousa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sousa lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Luan Sousa will probably get the nod.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sewell tries to clinch up but Sousa circles away and keeps his distance.

Michael Sewell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sewell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sousa's head backwards.

Sewell avoids a punch combination nicely.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Sousa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sewell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Sewell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sousa's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sousa is looking to stand up but Sewell isn't so interested in that idea.

Well Sewell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
