The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson digs a good hook to McCann's body.
McCann shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hanson defends it nicely.
Hanson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McCann.
Tony McCann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hanson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
McCann lands an overhand right.
Hanson misses with an uppercut. McCann saw that one coming.
McCann tests Hanson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McCann swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hanson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hanson swings for the body but McCann moves out of range.
McCann throws a looping overhand right but Hanson ducks down to avoid it.
McCann slips a jab and a cross from Hanson.
McCann swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hanson counters with a series of strikes. McCann will be more careful next time no doubt.
McCann works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Hanson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hanson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hanson.
McCann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hanson tries to avoid it but McCann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hanson to the ground. Hanson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McCann fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanson manages to avoid it.
Hanson connects with a body shot.
McCann misses with a double jab
enabling Hanson to counter with a crisp jab.
McCann throws a combination that misses
and Hanson counters with a stiff right hand.
Steve Hanson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hanson looks to land a combination. McCann sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hanson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Hanson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
McCann looks gassed!

Hanson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Hanson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McCann. That did some damage!
McCann throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hanson counters with a nice uppercut.

Hanson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A telegraphed right hand from McCann misses the target.
A jab lands there for Hanson.
Hanson scores with the left hand. McCann knows he should have avoided that one.

Hanson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

McCann is rocked!
McCann closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McCann is still on wobbly legs! Can Hanson finish him?

McCann swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hanson counters with a nice low kick that buckles McCann's knee momentarily.
McCann moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hanson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McCann takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hanson lands with a big left! McCann is wobbled badly! Hanson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops McCann to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
