The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Deez throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Deez has a takedown stuffed.
Deez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Black checks it well.
Deez swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Black shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Deez as he avoids it easily.
Deez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Black counters with a single leg into guard. Deez didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruge Deez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Black avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Black works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Black frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Black landing punches.
Deez tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black controlling the position easily from mount.
Deez takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Black prevents Deez from getting the reversal.
Deez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Black throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Deez has his hands clasped together but Black breaks the hold and Deez is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Black!
